Mylene Rahn Business Profile:
Mylene Rahn is the owner of the online business JMR2 Digital World. She was an account manager turned entrepreneur who left the traditional corporate office when she realized she could earn more by building an online business and working as her boss. Now, two and a half years after starting JMR2 Digital World—a combination of Rahn’s and her husband’s name—Rahn’s business has taken off. She even left her job to pursue her business full-time. The work flexibility and financial stability that owning an online business allows was exactly what Rahn and her family wanted. As Mylene’s husband Jeff Rahn, said, “This is an automated global business, and all you need is the internet, a phone, or a computer. You can run this business anywhere, anytime, as long as you have an internet connection.” Mylene Rahn now aims to share her journey of success with others and offers her insight and mentorship to other hopeful entrepreneurs just starting out in the online business world.
Interview with Mylene Rahn:
Asiana Post: For those who don’t know, what is the name of your business? And what do you specialize in?
Mylene Rahn: My business name is JMR2 Digital World, and this is an online business. And the way it works is that we this business like a franchise-like business.
And so it’s kind of complicated. Let me tell you that it is because the way it works with us is to find out how you can start your own online business as well. You need to watch the 90-minute video on our website. And that video is an introduction to what the business is all about. So you need to move forward to the next step. And the way I would be there for you is by mentoring you and helping you start up your own online business. Because we do have our automated system that would provide you the training, the video-based training, that you’d need to help start up your own online business. In this business that we have, the system is there for you; we provide everything the video-based training it will help you start up, showing you how you could start creating your business page on Facebook, up to the template where you’re going to do your website, we do have a template, and all the strategies of how we do attraction marketing. So it’s kind of like, and through this business, you will have your franchise-like business. So the company that we have that allows us to use their products is based in Japan. But to find out more about the business, people need to sign up on my website, put their name and watch the 90-minute video, and then after that, to move forward, just for them to find out the full details of the business. That’s how it works.
Asiana Post: How do you define online business? And when did you begin your own online business?
Rahn: Okay. That’s a good question. Actually, I started this business at least two and a half years ago. So actually, I found this online business way back in 2017. I saw an ad on Facebook, but of course, I was skeptical. And I had a great-paying job at that time. So I didn’t pay attention to it. Only when my sister showed me this business. She found this business when she attended a convention for insurance. But now she’s not doing the insurance part. She’s focused on this business too. When she showed it to me, I watched the 90-minute webinar. And when I watched that webinar, I jumped into it right away. And I kept telling myself, why didn’t I do it in 2017? I know that a lot of people are looking for online opportunities like this because let me tell you, there’s lucrative compensation, you get to be your boss—when I saw all the benefits that I would get from it after I’ve watched those videos, it got me thinking of what is the big reason behind why I would like to have my own business and my big reason “why” is my family, I want to leave a good legacy for them. And just living paycheck to paycheck or working and having the same routine and going back to work every day nine to five and paying the bills at the end of the month, and then going back again, it’s like a kind of routine. So I thought of myself, I need to do something. I need to look for an opportunity to invest in myself. And where I can be my boss. And I found that in this business. It helped me gain back my time. I’m able to enjoy time with my family now. Three months ago, I finished my full-time job. I am now doing this business full-time, mentoring others who are interested and looking for an online business that can help them create a four to five to six-figure income monthly. So that is my passion. And I’m investing in myself, my skills, and in my time.
And we do have a lot of business partners here all over the world. I do have a a business partners from Australia from different parts of the US, and I’m working with someone in Singapore and in UK, and Canada. I just met them through my advertising. In this business, you can build your empire helping others, and my job is to mentor them to help there to help build their empire as well. That’s how this business works.
Asiana Post: What did you do prior to running your own business, and what made you want to start your own online business? And you covered that, but if you want to add more, please do.
Rahn: my previous job was as an account manager. So I do have a sales background and a marketing background. But in this business, you really don’t need to have that. Having those skills is just a plus. But let me tell you, most of the business partners we have here don’t have those skills; they were from different backgrounds. They were nurses, and teachers, and they were successful in this business. So you don’t need to have skills for sales to start doing this. Because this business is 90% set up because this is automated, and 10% only on you to lift for your finger. But of course, no business would grow on its own; you gotta put your dedication in your time and effort.
Asiana Post: And so basically, how does it work exactly? Like, what do you do on a day-to-day basis? And what exactly are you selling?
Rahn: The good part in this business is that we don’t sell anything, we don’t have inventory, the way we do it is we are attracting people, encouraging them to start thinking of what is their big why. I’m from the Philippines; I’ve been working here in the U.S. for 13 years. My day-to-day work is that I have an advertisement running right now. I receive leads from people signing up on my website with their name and email address. They would receive an email from me, but it is automated. I don’t do anything about that. They would receive that email. And that’s when they would be able to watch the 90-minute video, and which will discuss what the business is about. And they just need to follow the next step. And then, after that next step, they have coaching call videos that would guide them through what the strategy would be and about the products, the business, and everything. So that would be after the first video that they would watch,, the next step will give them the full details of the business and the products you’re going to invest in. And also the compensation plan.
Asiana Post: How do you compare your online business with a traditional setup?
Rahn: With a traditional business, you need to put all your time into it. Because you’re going to do everything from marketing to setting up your, for example, you’re selling something online, the difference was that with us is that you don’t need to do that. You just need to show the people how you live your life while working on your online business.
Asiana Post: You touched on this briefly, but when you’re beginning an online business, do you need sales experience or a business degree?
Rahn: No, you don’t. This would be your own online business. So I created my business name. Because, like I said, we are a franchise-like business. And I created my business name with a combination of my name and my husband’s. And I own an online business into the digital world. That’s why I created it.
Asiana Post: So how do people make a good living part-time or full-time running an online business? And how do you receive a paycheck?
Rahn: We received our paycheck through the mail. The company that we partnered with they’ve been around for over 48 years. And they have a lot of satellites all over the world. They have branches all over the world. They’re going to start up in Africa soon.
Asiana Post: And how do people make a good living part-time or full-time running an online business?
Rahn: It depends on how they would run their business. All these businesses offered a good lucrative compensation plan. But of course, like any other business, you have to put your time and effort into it for it to grow. But the good thing with this business is that everything is set up for you. So the email when someone signs up on the website is an automated email that they will receive. It is already in the system.
Asiana Post: Okay, and you keep mentioning products. So what are these products you’ll be selling or advertising?
Rahn: That is the difference that we have in this business. We don’t touch on what the products are all about. It is because it is a lot to explain, and that’s the reason why the first 90-minute video, it would explain only the introduction, and then they would need to follow through on the next step. That’s when it will show them the full details of the business.
Asiana Post: How do you advertise your business?
Rahn: I advertised that they would learn it with the different social media platforms during the training when they started to become online business owners. Our business is kind of like a company. When you apply for a job, they have policies and procedures that you need to go through. This is the same thing here. You need to go through our policies and procedures to get in. That’s how it works. And then, you see the full details of it.
Asiana Post: And so, focusing on your work, how do you help people with social media advertising?
Rahn: Oh, I mentor them. Through the training they will receive once they decide to start their own online business, we have a video-based training that would be opened up and unlocked for them to follow through. So you’re not going to be alone in this business. The good thing, too, in this business is that if they join under me and want to start the business, and for example, I’m already asleep one night, and they have some questions. We do have a community on Facebook, a private group that could help them out. So you’re not going to be alone in this business. You’ll have a coach, you’ll have your mentor from beginning to end, and we will help you out.
Asiana Post: And as a mentor, are there other ways that you help support business growth?
Rahn: When someone would ask me to, for some events, I go out and share the information about starting up their own online business, about investing in themselves. Yeah, to show them that there is an opportunity for everyone.
Asiana Post: You also host live workshops. What is the difference between those workshops and meeting with you one on one in a mentorship?
Rahn: Okay, actually, that live webinar that we have happens every Tuesday and Thursday, and that’s at 8 pm EST and 5 pm PST, and that workshops, we do have people that are interviewed there. Those are different successful business owners we have in the community that would tell them the testimonials, how they started this business, and how this business helped them out. And how this business is giving them more time with their family, living a life with less stress with more financial stability.
